I have discovered a very valuable and easy to calculate variable: "Likeability"...
((favorable comments)/(total comments))*100= "Likeability" For example: 61 favorable comments and 4 negative comments is - ((61/65)*100)= 93.8% likeable By simply adding a ( +/- ) radio button to the comments, the whole thing could be calced automatedly... Then, the "likeability" statistic could easily appear next to a person's overall stats... I think you would find that this form of calculation would be the most widely used overall statistic as it sums up so much in just one number... It might even help to improve the behavior of some of the newer players... |

Sigh. I'm never able to find friends :-) |

at 3:48 AM, Friday February 6, 2009 EST tbh this is the system i thought would make more sense then the constant swearing in the reviews. I thought something similar to Youtubes thumbs up thumbs down would work qite well and would be very easy to implement onto the site
As the reviews on the site are funny at times but most the time offensive and it isn't needed in kdice |

at 7:13 AM, Friday February 6, 2009 EST As stated in the past, people who are pissed off at someone are much more likely to leave a review or vote for likeability than someone who isn't pissed off. This makes it likely that almost everyone will have less than 50% likability. I'm all for a decent rating system, but KDice isn't very condusive to having happy people all the time. Almost every game sees at least one person that feels "ganged up on" or "PGA'd against". The tempermant of the community is not even keeled. It's full of pissy, whiny people that get mad any time they don't win.
