Why PGAs come in many flavors

I'm not usually one to post, but lately I've been playing with people I know and like and have noticed a really shitty trend. It seems like in Kdice there is a persistent variety of PGA that doesn't qualify as the traditionally malicious sort. I am getting so tired of people passing over obviously weaker players because they are their friends. If you really respected them and the game you would let them play and respect the play that other players exhibit. I know everyone is wrapped up in getting to the top 100, but maybe its time to re-examine whats really important ... if you continually make it there on the backs of others what value does it really have. Like I said most of the people I play with I enjoy talking to and generally have fun with, but I feel like I'd rather play 0 tables with no names than deal with the shitty endgame mess that this behavior brings to the table. I hope everyone learns to respect play in the future, but I doubt it will happen. Maybe its time for an end of the month supervised tourney with some fixed buy-in so that there are no more farmers and no more obvious PGAs to determine who ends up where .. pure skill pure results

Actually, WanderingBuddha might have a great idea. The curent form of monthly competition does not bring out the best in people.

How about no monthly reset?

Award the trophies each month, but do not reset the score each month. I think there would be a rush to get to the 20k tables and to stay at the 20k tables.

I really like the idea of no monthly reset, but it would only be possible in a "zero-sum" system.

You wouldnt be able to let people farm the thursday / sunday / member tourneys for all the free bonus points.

It seems like your ability to play in the big bonus tourneys is all that matters anymore.

This game is run by high point pga's, and there's never going to be an end to it, almost like a city with a lot of drugs, where they have police on the payroll
