Hi to all who are addicted to this game!

I am wondering the last weeks, what is going on, as many others.

I played a lot in the beginning of Kdice (at this time rev was my alt) the so called ELO days.
I took a long break, due to personal reasons, and I am back for about 5 months now.
It sook me about 2 moths to adjust my style to the "new" game, but I still think it is fun now (even I lost 9k today).
But I need to admit this game changed at least twice since I know it, from ELO to monthly restart, and shortly again when the tournaments got started up.
I personally love the tournaments (might because I love them in Poker as well) but slightly nobody realized that with the tournament bonus the +70 points per game where taken away, what is the reason why the winner of the month does not have 100k, but "only" 50k is enough.
Well the playing stayle (referring to yellowfin" has also changed, it is much more social now, waht is not only to Monte, more like to that due that now low level players compete in the tournaments with "the big shoths" and they try to adopt their style.. what means talking...
I, myself talked me into some tournament winnings (this just as an advice for the new players)
But for all the "low" players who get to the the 500 the first times... is is not PGE (pre game alliance) what you find there; it is communication skill, combined with the knowledge of players who trust in your word.
I belive that I have at least 20 (prop much more) players who trust me, when I tell them something, that is not PGA, I just profed to keep my word.
Anyhow, is this is old or new stayle, I also dont like this "truces, flags" coming you the first, second or third round... but sometimes.. why should you screw your neightbour, if you can work together.
I also miss the players from the first days...wishbone, as best example... but also some "new guys" are a lot fun to play with...

The generall idea of this post is... be social, talk to each other, and keep you word, but don“t forget it is a tactical war game!

Love to hear comments on this...

yup well stated. Sometimes when people are posting a thread like this they get personal and attack other players. This thread did not do this. Those other threads get bogged down in personal attacks and counter attacks and no communication actually happens. Well done.

I'd like to say you have some good issues regarding the communication in games at the 500 tables. I've been playing since the ELO days too. Never changed my alt (check the shocking scorse too!) but I don't even have a friends list so I do find it difficult at tables a lot. i don't talk enough to build the relationships with players that others do. Now I'm not saying that the others gang up on me, but my word isn't taken as weightily as others so therefore I'll slip down the pecking order when it comes to "the flagging". But I see this as fair game, and it's my own fault cause I can't always be bothered to type in the chat box. just prefer to play away, win lose or draw.

Oh and if anyone wants to be my friend, please let me know. It's lonely on the fringes.

Scotslaw, I will be your friend. The evil whores leekstep and adam took me off their friends list.

Hi Scotslaw,

thx for your comment, and the funny thing is I remember playing with you, but not like a big oder certain memory. Interesting thing is that you agree that you dont use the chatbox very often. Well the Chatbox is the key to creating friends, be keept in memory, and you also can improve your score...
And trust me, chatting, is also great fun... if you remember the players, and they remember you, you will start to chat about different things, not only about kdice; and you have overall more fun...
