Truces and Flags in perspective

Maybe it is just me, but isn't there just a tiny little dribble of irony in a game where you try to conquer the world by force and then spend all the time complaining that the other evil warmongers aren't being nice. Flags and truces are great, they add a diplomatic and social element to the game, but a little realpolitik helps keeps things spicy. The odd "ruse de guerre" has always been a feature of international relations. (with appropriate deniability of course!) False but tempting promises to potential allies are hardly news eh? (WMD anyone?)

I'm not suggesting PGA or other such low down filthy behaviour, but can we all be a little less precious about these things.

Your argument doesn't seem to been thought out until the farer end of it.

I didn't think it out at all... just came into my head after spending 20 minutes watching players calling each other morons, retards (and some even more vulgar terms!) over real or imagined infractions of the code of honour.
