It was down to 2 players in the tourney.
I had 4000+ points, and Cod4, the second place player had 82 points. I was just about to win the tourney, and then the kdice web page stops responding. I try to refresh, and it's still not working. Then I try loading it through a IP hider, and IT WORKS. MY IP JUST GOT BANNED. WTF???1?!? So i pull a new IP, login, and now the guy who had 82 points to my 4000, now has 4000 and I have 400. Ryan was in the game watching, not talking and refused to tell me why I was banned. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT CHEAT, NO PGA, EVERYTHIGN WAS IN GAME. I know Bomb was watching, he can attest to this. So Ryan I think you owe me and the kdice community an explanation, why did you give my 1st place to cod4? |

Also why did i flag 2nd to you, you say thats fine in chat i say ok i fight red. Red also wanted 2nd you said we could fight so we did. I was one turn off winning then you say 'Bradly can have 2nd' then you almost destroy me in one turn I manage to beat bradly wuth the few remaining dice i had left and make the final two. 1.I still don't understand why you turned on me when i flagged to you 2. You even confirmed in chat we could fight 3. You wait till the last moment to change your mind 4.It wasn't strategic because if me or bradley came 2nd in the next round we were both out so we would have to win 1st maybe 4 times in a row, and that was never going to happen 5. so if you hadn't decided to go against the decision you would have came first in the tournament anyway im sure, it's the fact you lied and backstabbed and tried to take 2nd place away from me So dont make it out that i was in the wrong, it was you |

at 1:37 AM, Saturday November 8, 2008 EST This was discussed ad nasuem in the chatbox a few mins after my original post. Suffice it to say, Ryan felt as if I lacked integrity in my play. While I strongly disagree with him, what can I do? He's the boss right.

at 1:48 AM, Saturday November 8, 2008 EST I am not trying to put words in Ryan's mouth but persoanlly I think he is trying to set clear examples now while MTT is still new to avoid letting cheating/favors grow out of hand.
I didn't see the game so actually can't comment but if Cod4 decribed the situation correctly I think it is becoming quite clear that Ryan won't be accepting play like yours any longer and that players need to think twice before giving away favors. If Ryan doesn't wanna post clear guidelines for what he will accept as fair play, we just have to look and learn from the bans he made. I am pretty sure right now about what will be banned and what not. If you are absolutely sure you didn't cheat, tough for you but in the end, it's Ryan's game and if he sees something he doesn't approve of, he can ban you. If he is wrong, even tougher but you can play here for free so really, there is not much you can complain about. If you don't like it, 3 steps to try: 1) try to argue with ryan (he propbably saw enough to make up his mind so gl, skip to step2) 2) post it in the forum to get it off your chest 3) quit kdice. The shorter 1 step program: 1) change your playstyle like an obediant puppy and never get banned again. To end, I won the Friday Fives MTT before your MTT. Ryan was watching then too. I had to make a few truces during the tournament. The main goal there was to unite and beat the largest player. I didn't get banned afterwards so I guess my play was acceptable. My point is you don't have to be too worried about getting banned. Just use your common sense and play how you think is fair. If Ryan still bans you, you have to look deep into yourself and at least ask yourself wether or not you went too far in giving favors. There was one game where moondust said to me he would flag 2nd. I felt it was too early for him to flag but I gladly accepted it by saying OK thx. So I left him alone. Later on the 3rd player made a good move on Moondust and had a chance for 2nd. At that moment I was considering what I would do if 3rd got the upper hand of moondust. Some would call our situation a semi-truce and kill the other player. 95% of the time I would stay out of it but I felt moondust kinda did me a favor by flagging earlier than I would have done myself. But flagging was some sort of his mistake so I was about to decide to stay out. Luckily moondust got the upper hand and got the 2nd I felt he deserved. Afterwards I told moon he should have not flagged so soon and although I greatly appreciated the flag, I wouldn't have minded a fight and I wouldn't have been able to help him out if 3rd could beat him. P.S. It's just circumstantial evidence against you but: a player that quickly resorts to an IP hider (seems like it wasn't your first try) just looks a bit guilty to me. |

at 1:57 AM, Saturday November 8, 2008 EST Facts are:
I was guarenteed to win the tourney. Ryan gave the victory to the second place guy. Background: 3 players left in the tourney: Cutekittens: 3000 points cod4: 1400 points Bradles: 999 points What happened in the game in question: 3 players, cod4, Bradles, and myself. I have a good start, after the first few rounds, I am ensured to win the game. cod4 flags for 2nd. Being gracious, I stop attacking him and Bradles. Let it be clear that cod4's flag did not benefit me, because I was already virtually ensured the win via my lands and position. A few rounds pass, with Bradles and cod4 exchanging hits. As cod4 starts to pull ahead of Bradles, a realization hits me; "why should I let cod4, get 2nd place when it will only make fighting him in the next round harder." Remember, although cod4 was flagged 2nd, his flag did not confer ANY benefit to myself. He had no chance of beating me when he did flag. Therefore I was abusing his trust. With this in mind, I attack cod4 with the intention of giving Bradles 2nd place. However, I acted too late, cod4 killed Bradles and eliminated him from the Tourney. Essentially, my actions had NO effect. cod4 recevied 2nd place. His points were exacly the same, his position realtive to me did not change by my actions. The next game begins, and then if you read my first post, you know what happened next. In the discussion that insued after the game, To add insult to injury, I was insulted numerous times, and I was told by Ryan that I had no integrity and that I was a dirty player. I only used to ever play 500 tables because I hated playing against PGA people. That's why i never played the 10,000 and 2500 tables up until relativly recently. so when I get my victory stolen from me in this tourney, and I got lumped into the same group as the notorious cheaters whom I despise; it felt pretty shitty. |

You dare accuse me of beging guilty because I have some basic web technology knowledge? www.hidemyass.com www.behidden.com useful for checking if a website is down or if there is a routing problem between your IP and theirs... It is terrifying to think that jury's are composed of people like you. |

He basically said, I know what I see, and I didn't like what I saw. Take it or leave it. Even if after reading this thread, you still feel as though I did wrong, you have to ask, does the punishment fit the crime? In this case, I do not believe it did. |

well jk, but maybe next MTT, just not interfere in a fight for 2nd? Personally I think what triggered the ban was the fact you only interfered when one player was getting an edge over the other. You have to admit that looks bad to a game developer that is determined to wipe out cheating/favors from the MTT. and sorry about the circumstantial evidence: you are right about that, it's just that I hate proxy cheating. |

at 2:37 AM, Saturday November 8, 2008 EST To be clear, I was not playing favourites as some ignorant people had claimed in the chat box.
I was playing purely on strategy. I could care less if Bradles, and cod4's positions were reversed in the situation. I chose to interfere in the fight as it would help me to win the Tourney. Kdice is a strategy game, and your goal is to win. That was my goal all along. So if I have a chance to hurt my competitor, and thus better my chances, why should I not? The alternative is to not hurt my competitor, and thus weaken my chances. Why should I do this? It goes against the very principle of the game. |
