In the continuing post on the Advisor blog I have reintroduced the convolution integral (CI) which predicts what the PPG of a player would be, if he played only at the zero level tables, from his percentage profile. The ratio of his actual PPG to his CI is a rough measure of average level of table he has played at, which in turn measures the average number of points he is willing to risk. So the ratio of the PPG to the CI could be called GPG, or guts per game, and the product of the GPG and games played would be total guts, or G. Here are players from the top 25 ranked by G. I have have to throw out most of the players because their percentages are corrupted. If you are in the top 25 and would like to have your G measured, give me your best estimate of your percentage profile. For the players with correct percentages, here are the stats:
