A poem for you...

I remember the day,
Seems so far away,
When kdice was so fun,
Because the better players usually won,
But now the purpose has very much changed,
And the outcome sometimes even prearranged,
But worse than this - to our shame!,
We no longer even try to win the game!
But rather to get a few points here and there,
by knowing exactly when to pair,
And guarantee someone else the win,
Because you were stretched out way too thin,
So instead of getting the -200 you deserve,
You throw everyone the curve,
And ensure that you yourself get second place,
Even at the expense of those actually in the race,
And since this principle locks everyone in,
Either play this way or be a has-been,
But there is clear solution despite the naysayers,
Remove the text box and don't identify the players!
But alas, we are slaves to the overall scores,
even if it means the "pure players" have no choice but to return to DICEWARS :(

Please make all your profane replies rhyme.

Is quite a slow bloke
This game has lost its fun
even before RND was on the run
So shut up and smirk
while these hopeless jerks
Continue to ruin the game for everyone

There is no PGA,
The PGA'ers say.
Don't be so obtuse,
We simply made a truce.
And so what if this was
done the other day?
Don't blame us,
for your being away.

Here's an old one from the skrum archive. Since it's not profane, it doesn't rhyme.

Ein Heldenleben (A Hero's Life): A tone poem in six parts.

I decided to do some anonymous lurking to see how our Hero (let's call him Player X) fares in an hour's worth of his day to day struggles against his adversaries. The PPC and the APC are explained on my profile page.

Part I. The Hero Sits Down (trumpet)

Player X sits in Position 2. Wishbone sits in position 3. There are 14 watchers. Wishbone's APC for this particular game is 0.3571.

Part II. The Hero Stands Up (woodwinds)

Part III. The Hero Sits Down (solo violin)

Player X sits in Position 3. Player Y sits in Position 4. Player Z sits in Position 6. There are approximately 11 watchers. Player X's PPC in regard to Players Y and Z is 0.3636 for this game.

Part IV. The Hero Stands Up (percussion and trumpet)

Part V. The Hero Sits Down (orchestra)

Player Z sits in Position 3. Player X sits in Position 5. There are 8 watchers. Player X's APC with respect to Player Z is 0.5000.

Part VI. The Hero Leaves (French horn, with a final trumpet fanfare).

You guys have absolutely no sense of rhythm or meter.
Just because you rhyme sentences doesn't mean it's a poem.
Effing embarrassing.
