I just played 10k game where 3 players truced in 2nd or 3rd round. I played that game good and i had about +3500pts but then i realized i have no chance to fight against 3 players so I flagged 2nd. But then they killed me and instead 3500pts i get -92pts.
Kdice really sucks, there is no way to win fairly. You can win only if you have pregame alliance or if you truce in the begging of game. But what is the point of game if you don't play it fair?
Maybe you (Ryan?) should think about removing chat cause now this game is 10% about skills and 90% PGAs and truces.

Sorry for my english, hope you understand me.

has it ever crossed your mind that trucing before others truce against you is the way to go?

Chat should only be allowed if all players are stoned.

@captainLAGER
Trucing is not way to go, what is the point of game then. Now it doesn't matter how good you are.
Trucing in first round is same as pregame alliance. What do you think who should won: better player or player who made alliance before game?

trucing in the first round is NOT same as pga.

if i understand Ryan's concept correctly, the point of kdice is to combine the gameplay of dice wars with the strategy of all-human opponents. he has stated several times that diplomacy is a very important aspect of this game.

so, if youre frustrated by the use of diplomacy on the top tables, then you have two options: 1) never come to tables higher than 500, since that seems to be the line where diplomacy really takes over, or 2) quit the game altogether.

im not trying to be vicious here, just offering my condescending opinion, as per usual.

Non-secret diplomacy is what makes this game so so awesome for me. That being said, I don't play at the highest rung of tables, so the average table I run into won't have PGA - I will admit it sounds like the highest tiers have a lot of inbreeding goin on.

The upper tables do not differ from the lower ones simply in how diplomacy plays out once the game has started. There is no blank slate between familiar players. It would be silly to argue this, and the motivation for arguing it is unclear.

For the diehard point-motivated players, a key strategy is to build up 'friends' who generally know that in a tossup situation you will attack other neighbors on the map before you attack them. This never requires actual chatbox chatting. Certain players are very very good at this (Nexon and Murti come to mind).
