Never let a flag stand between you and a win, if you still have a shot at 1st. 3rd may not like it, but too bad for him.

Alternatively, you might have been better off trying to establish a alliance with 3rd to take down the 1st place player. 2nd and 3rd trucing to beat #1 used to be overdone in prior flagging system, but the strategy still has a valid place in the game.

if someone flags 3rd, they are flagged to *two* people. if you persist in attacking him, i cant fault him for attacking you back. if you leave him alone, and just focus on attacking 1st (which should be your aim anyways), then he should leave you alone.

the only case where attacking his flag makes sense is if he is incredibly short-stacked next to you, and is taking dom that should belong to you as 2nd place. however, whenever you attack short-stack flaggers, there is a very high risk that they will hold a grudge and try to convince everyone to kill you for attacking a flag.

in the end, you need to be very vocal in chatbox to explain why you want to attack someone who has flagged under you instead of attacking someone who has more territory than you. attacking someone who is flagged under you rarely results in getting 1st.

I trust no one is forced to reply to any message regarding the flagging system.

If 3rd has a competitor for 3rd place, and you are taking on a longshot battle against 1st, it is quite likely that they may consider helping 1st and putting you in 4th.

You have to think about the dynamics and use the chatbox. Flags don't mean squat.
