If one person says I'll go east you go west is that a truce? Maybe not to the letter, but in practice it is 99% of the time. The people will continue not attacking each other until their is no other reasonable option.

Alliance - An association, especially of nations for a common cause

If someone has played and worked with someone in another match and then in the current match they work together is that not an alliance?
