I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but would it be possible to have non-ranked tables so we can play with others on the same i.p. address, such as if we went to a LAN?
Thanks. |

at 11:09 PM, Sunday June 15, 2008 EDT I think a better idea would be to offer private (invitation only) tables. Let someone "host" a game, and invite other players. It's common in a lot of online multiplayer games, and I think it might be a popular option in kdice.
Maybe even make it so that only members can host private games--it might be a nice incentive for joining up. The host could then decide if they want to allow the same IP to play on the table multiple times, perfect for LAN parties since you could then invite the people you're with and no one else. You'd probably still need to have it non-ranked, or maybe have a separate points system for the host or host's table, so you could keep track of the results for a night's worth of LAN party kdice games. |

Where as a practice (non-ranked) table would not only be good for beginners - as well as allowing LAN play - but it would also be relatively easy to implement, would it not? Either way, anything that allows LAN play is great in my opinion :-) |
