OMG! Sometimes I hate this game, ´cause you haven´t got the possibility to pummel your antagonists.
OK - if I´m pissed of somebody, I say "fuck you", "you´re sick", "you´re dumb or an dumbass or such things. But I always say this, cause this antagonist couldn´t convince me to be very clever. BUT I WOULD NEVER BLASPHEME SOMEBODY ´CAUSE HIS ORIGIN!!!! This is racist! Calling someone Nigger cause he´s black or "jewsfucker" or "nazi" cause he´s german (like me f.e.), is racist! Look to the people and respond behaviour - tell me that I´m dumb, unsensitive or whatever, if I ask you to fuck yourself or whatever, but don´t abuse me racist... cheers |

at 4:03 AM, Wednesday June 4, 2008 EDT Without getting into the discussion of whether it's offensive, and please bear in mind, some people still in this day and age want to be called a Nazi and would be proud of it.
Calling a German a Nazi whilst unoriginal, is not racist. Being a Nazi wasn't down to race, remember Hitler wasn't German, he was Austrian... Swearing I think is fine, unless this is suddenly becoming a teen site, although that could easily be fixed with a profanity filter, so you mother***** would appear. Remember how original and mature do think someone is who calls a black man a nigger, a German a Nazi, and a jew a big nose. Personally, I'd pity them, how stupid must they be a) To believe such stereotyping works. b) Think it's acceptable in 2008 c) Cannot come up with something more original. The other thing to bear in mind, is you are what you are, not where you are born. To limit yourself to being "German" or "American" is to limit yourself. Rise above it and be the best YOU can BE, regardless of where you come from. If you want to get some slightly disturbing abuse from a moron, have a look at Devi, who's offering to come round and find you and arse rape you. Note it doesn't matter if you're male or female, he just seems to be into the raping part. Seriously warped individual. |

Calling a German a Nazi is certainly racist. Germans are no more Nazi's than any Englishman or American, for example, so to label a German a Nazi is just daft. And racist. Soulrift |

being a nazi is not about race, so it's not a racist term. Offensive yes, but not racist. You could call, and bear in mind, there is a good percentage of Germany that is not white now, a Black German person a Nazi, and on Kdice, given that we can't see the colour of somones skin, people probably do. I think you're confusing nationality with race. Race, ethnicity, and nationality are different but easily confused things think of a Native American Indian marrying an Italian who live in America. The Babies race would be 1/2 Native Indian. Her Nationality would be American, but if lets say the Italian upbringing was more dominant, then her ethnic background would be Italian, or American Italian. To insult the baby racially, would be to make indian noises and talk about pale face and tonto, but this could be to someone who thinks of themselves as Italian... |

at 11:40 AM, Wednesday June 4, 2008 EDT Hi Scorp,
I beg to differ, mate. According to British Law a racial group means "any group of people who are defined by reference to their race, colour, NATIONALITY (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin" The United Nations has a similar defintion. Now, the law from whereever you come from might differ, I grant you. Rifty. |

Now, the law from whereever you come from might differ, I grant you. Rifty. if I called you a GOOONER.. Would it help you guess where I was from? "any group of people who are defined by reference to their race, colour, NATIONALITY (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin" Lets look at your definition, I think it's a good one. Are Nazi's defined by their race colour, Nationality including Citizenship, or National origin. You could argue that Nazis are generally white. However, it has been shown that certain Muslim extremists show similar traits. Nazis are not all German, we know that by Historical fact, the most Famous of them was Austrian. So Nazi can't be a racial slur, as it doesn't target one race. Lets widen the net slightly. What is racism? Lets quote the TUC, http://www.tuc.org.uk/tuc/rights_racism.cfm Racism at work Racism occurs when you are treated differently to your colleagues because of your race or ethnic origin. Common examples are when someone is * called names * overlooked for promotion * denied training * denied overtime and other benefits * only offered unpopular shifts * shouted at * bullied * selected for redundancy * denied holiday entitlement Can we treat players differently on Kdice because of their race or ethnic origin. Simple answer no. I can say I'm from Scotland, you can call me tight or a sweaty, however if I'm not from scotland, is it still racist. I guess the question is this, is it racist to call a person of white origin a Nigger? I choose that word carefully , as I think it's probably the strongest racial epithet. |
