Ryan, some advise here

I am pretty sure TDD bought a star and gotten 2500 points from it. No problem with that but I think it is time to avoid the grey area from last month as soon as possible.

If you want to keep the extra points system for each star bought, again no problem, we will have to adapt again I to it guess.

But please make it clear to us as soon as you made a descission. If you don't have the time yet to close the loophole, let us know or ask us to hold of donations or tell us all 2500 points this month will be deducted again when the loophole can be closed.

no justifications are needed if you want to keep the point buying, just a short confirmation will do for me (and I think for many of us).

"advise" with an S is a verb, something you do.
"advice" with a C is a noun, something you offer.

arrogance is spelled with two r's.
ESL stands for *English as a *Second *Language.

you know whats good for the community? people who try to learn and speak english so they can communicate and add to the family.

i suggest you go live in a country that doesnt speak english, and tell me what it feels like when everyone around you looks down on you for how broken and sucky you speak their native language. oh wait, none of the rest of the world acts that way. they show appreciation that you are trying to learn their culture, language.

so grow up, and appreciate that jurgen is embracing this game's community.

Monte ftw!

I second jurgen. This needs to be corrected, clarified, and closed sooner rather than later. "Pay to Play" at least makes sense. "Pay to Win" is just ineffably silly.

Side note at Monte:

Unless you know something about Mr. Bugaboo and can tell from that that what he said was deriding, then you came on pretty harsh.

His words were very simple and to the point. If someone *IS* trying to learn English and join the community etc, etc, then would it not be polite to educate them?

I know if I were in another country and were making a mistake with the language I would certainly want to know about it and correct it.

I didn't take Bugaboo's correction as hard derision. But then, like I said, maybe you know something about him I don't.

All that with the sad understanding that most Americans don't even know the diff between ?advice? and ?advise?. Sigh.

Monte, Ssilver has it right: It was a simple correction, offered without judgment, that I hoped would help the original poster later. Nothing mean-spirited about it.

Don't always assume the worst.

Your first sentence has a misplaced modifier in it. Your second sentence is a fragment.

Sheesh, dude. Was that last shot *really* necessary?

I'm a newspaper journalist with more than 20 years of experience as a reporter and editor. My wife has almost as much experience doing the same thing. It serves my sanity to ignore most of the language-mangling I see online. (I also let my own efforts slide; I need the break.) I was just trying to be helpful.

Let it go already and stop trying to make it a personal issue.
