I think there is room for discussion over the etiquette of flagging under different circumstances... there is abundant debate over early flags and flag respect.... just thought i would make a post for ppl to voice it.... in my opinion there is a right and wrong time to flag.... and even if u do flag u had better be prepared to defend it... thats for all those who spread themselves too thin then flag and whine when ppl take their 2 and 3 stacks with their 5 and 6 stacks. boo hoo. u gotta earn ur flag... plain and simple

at 9:16 PM, Thursday May 1, 2008 EDT Recently I was in a game where a player flagged for second AFTER ONE TURN. Then when my self and several other players commented on it, we were accused of being noobs.
My real problem with it was that several other players honored the flag. It seems to me that flags should not be allowed until a certain round. I seem to remember that it was that way at one point. |

at 12:54 AM, Friday May 2, 2008 EDT I would still like the ability to flag for the current lowest position and quit the game no matter what position you hold.
Some games just aren't worth starting yet you are technically 4th or some stupid crap. I wanna get the hell out of dodge and start a fresh game! So I do. But then my "sat out" ghost sits there and racks up dice for three rounds (an annoyance to the other player). Not to mention the dom hit for having to wait for the force resign. I should be able to flag for any lower position from the one I hold. |
