Honoring Flags?

I believe I'm in the minority here, but I don't see why I shouldn't attack someone just because they flag. If I'm in a 4-way fight and someone flags for third, why shouldn't I attack them if I can get easy land.

too much weight is put on flagging whilst it still is only a (mostly) social aspect of the game, seeing as you can still choose to attack the flagger.

just play how you want to be played and tell 'them' that, if they complain, AND don't be a hypocrite about it, it is the only way. you'll get some respect aswell for that.

if someone flags and they have all 1 and 2 stacks, killing them is totally legit. Flagging = I am happy with __th and not much else.

If someone flags below you (say you are 2nd and they flag 5) it is good manners not to kill them UNLESS they flagged very early, or cannot defend their position.

Check wishbones strategy guide for a more detailed explanation.

NOTE: You should never let a flag stop you from getting the place you deserve (NOTE: You might not realize what place you deserve =p)

It works from the top down.

If you and 1st place have had a good battle, it's a way of saying, here's to you, you won.

If third 4th 5th etc, flag up, then that's fine.

If they sit there battling away, then there is going to be a certain element of kill the unflagged.

Some players are children remember, wether by age or attitude.

They will see a battle with them as a personal attack and kill the 2nd place player regardless of flags.

IMHO, you are flagging to the person in the place ABOVE you...

However if 3rd attacks me as second, then they in effect have removed the flag for me at least.

I'm starting to wondeer about flags... they're the valium of this game.

If someone flags then there's no reason why you can't collect a few "taxes". They've already accepted defeat, you can ensure youer place and protect theirs.

Flag = I'm happy with this place, please, please let me have it.
