Some players feel that a flag gives them super powers e.g. invisibility and indestructible. They behave like ostriches - you can't see me, you won't hurt me.
If you have your head in the sand and your bum in the air you have to take the chance that someone near by will give you a swift kick in teh bahooky. Flags = Please give me this place Nothing more. If you flag, espeially when weak, there's no reason why your aggressor can't collect a few "taxes" to ensure his success. Flag = Mercy and Trade |

They don't even mean that. All they mean is that you will not finish above a certain place.* Anything past that is an individual player trying to use it to their advantage. A worthy pursuit given the game setup, and one that scores points, but nothing that is guaranteed. * With the rare exception of people revolting against the leader and someone in second getting first, for example. |

If flagging earlier than other people meant anything then everyone would flag for second on the first round. |

at 11:51 PM, Wednesday April 23, 2008 EDT I have seen alot of people flag on the 1st and 2nd round after attacking...they have no real back-up with dice...I think this is a poor way to play myself....Flags should not be playable till at least the 10th round if you make it that far..I have been in second place, when people attacked me and then flagged..It truely is a nice game..

Oh I would say flags are a way of saying I would like this place My play is always if I am in first and have no allies (allies outweigh flags) then I will leave flags alone unless I need to get to someone through them. If I flag for a place then I will not attack higher flags but will still attack lower flags cause they are a threat to my place. If I flag the same as someone then they automatically become my enemy and I must make them flag below me. That is how I play Oh and I am not one of the 7 sons of justice. |
