Anyone wondering where old g00by's been lately? I'm still here ... and STILL THE UNLUCKIEST PERSON TO HAVE EVER PLAYED THIS GAME.

50.8% luck my ass.

If I've got 50.8% luck, explain the -871 points in 5 straight games.

AWEOSME

:(

sigh.

I'm confused

My Attacks
Seppl1983 defended 4v2, 8 to 8, (2,1,2,3 to 6,2)

Attacks against me
g00b2 defeated 4v3, 20 to 7, (6,3,6,5 to 1,4,2)
g00b2 defeated 4v2, 13 to 3, (3,3,6,1 to 1,2)
g00b2 defeated 3v2, 8 to 7, (2,3,3 to 5,2)
g00b2 defeated 4v1, 16 to 1, (6,1,3,6 to 1)
g00b2 defeated 5v2, 25 to 7, (6,5,6,5,3 to 3,4)

I got 53.9% luck here, came in 7th in the first round ... ????????

Luck% for 1 game never does seem to tell us a lot goob.

2 days ago i was cruising for an easy 1st with 11 lands (+20dice) with 2 and 3 nicely flagged and both well under control (well maybe not the guy in 2nd because I can never seem to control him). In short, I wanted to take out 4th, lost 11 8v8 in a row, +he won basically every attack himself, I got to 4/5 lands and had to relly on my accepted flaggers to kill the lucky guy. I ended the game 1st with 47-48 luck%. The scary part is that luck% was so close to my overall luck%.

Losing a few rolls in a game is normal but in my mind the streaks of lost rolls are far worse. I think luck% only looks at every roll apart (that's correct but I don't like it). Losing a 8v8 is not that unlucky so only a small influence on luck%. Losing 11 in a row (less than 1/1000 chance) should have a much larger influence on luck% to give a realistic number.

I think a 6v4 loss + 5 normal rolls inbetween + another 6v4 loss should have a much smaller impact on luck% than two 6v4 losses in a row because this will probably hurt you game more.

Another factor that probably isn't included in luck% is early-midgame-endgame importance.
i think a 4v2 in round 1 is much more painful than a 4v2 in round 8 so why not factor that in if possible?

damn, I actually forgot to post the short thing i originally intended to post

Goob, the 53,7% luck was correct. It's that high because you were lucky you got kicked out in round 1. If you had stayed in and survived until round 6, you probably would have ended 7th anyway with a much bigger point loss. So consider yourself lucky ;-)

maybe you missed some defends you made.

and besides you rolled a 1 on that 4v1. the chances to roll a 1 are 1/6. quite lucky you rolled a 1 instead of something else.

I was playing a game a few weeks back where I lost 24 8v8 in a row. (I covered the map and was trying to kill a few remaining lands. 2 attacks per turn and lost 12 turns in a row.)

How is that even possible?! I want to understand this! If I flipped a coin and got heads 24 times in a row, I would call guiness.
