Scenario: 4 players left in play. Dude in 3rd is in a crap position that is only going to get worse. Dude in 4th is currently inferior to 3rd but much more likely to improve.
The guy in 3rd flags. As was likely deteriorates to 4th a couple of rounds later. The previous 4th now moves up into 3rd and flags. Both 3rd and 4th are now flagged for 3rd. The guy in 4th starts whinging his/her ass off that they flagged first. The sympathatic leader starts hitting on 3rd to reduce him back to 4th. This sucks and really spoils the game. Pleas to the leader to save an inferior player really gets on my nerves. Any comments ? |

I don't know why it is so difficult, just because you flag does NOT mean that you will get what you flag for. Usually in that situation as a leader I would tell the guy in forth to reflagg for forth. If he refused (which happens more than it should) I would nail him and encourage everyone else to do so also. It really depends on who you have as a leader though. |

at 8:11 PM, Tuesday March 4, 2008 EST That always pisses me off. My favorite was when a guy with two bases flagged for 2nd while I was tied for fourth, and then I proceeded to take out one of his bases all the while he was complaining about me not-honoring flags. Then the guy in 1st attempted to take me out after I had flagged for 2nd and I managed to cut him right down the middle and forced him to take out the whiner.
Flagging isn't a right to that position. I won't take you out if you flag, unless there is someone more deserving of that position. When 1 and 2 are battling and 3 and 4 are sitting back, if I beat #2 down to a point where he agrees to flag, he's going to get 2nd even if the 3 and 4 guys manage to approach his size. If they couldn't have gotten the position on their own they don't deserve it either. |

at 8:40 PM, Tuesday March 4, 2008 EST The flagging is broken, it was better when the flag meant an instant exit. Now, most of the time, whining and the whims of the most powerful determine outcomes.
