Am I just being sensitive because I can't get a lick of decent situational luck in this game, or am I warranted in making the following comment:
When you offer someone first place, and dutifully flag for 2nd (when you could have just made that other person's life a living hell), should that person not ensure you actually GET your 2nd place finish? |

at 9:31 AM, Thursday February 7, 2008 EST Oh, and just a clarification. Situation: I flag for second first (am quite in the lead for 2nd place, too, not just ridiculously spread out and then flag. No, legitimately in 2nd), run into some bad luck (SURPRISE) and lose 2nd to someone else who then flags. Should First not help?

And I'd like to mention Prof Chaos who flagged 2nd, wasn't attacked by me (the leader) and then started attacking me... How do you call this "strategy"? |

at 12:16 PM, Thursday February 7, 2008 EST I tend to agree with you, but sometimes a player will over-expand and flag for a position they will lose for sure before their next turn. However, they'll still expect you to help them get that position.
That can be frustrating. |

at 12:42 PM, Thursday February 7, 2008 EST Dunno. When I'm first and someone flags for second I stop attacking him. That's it. If someone else wants to try to claim second position it's up to himself to defend.
What I don't like is all the "I flagged first so I should get it" crap. Don't forget that if someone flags he "forces the truce" up to you. You can't really refuse someone's flag so it's not really a truce. If the leader wants to attack he may very well do as he wants. |

at 12:43 PM, Thursday February 7, 2008 EST Yeah Vermy, agreed. However in that particular case, I was anything but over-extended and could almost have single handedly ruined him. He didn't HURT me, mind you, just didn't help me when my luck ran dry. Hahah, that would imply i had some luck to being with. That's funny in and of itself!

u can attack whom u want it is ur own decision to flag for 2nd for the 1st player it is at most time better to save the 2nd, but sometimes it is even then better to charge the 2nd... |
