Question...

Are there any games similar to KDice, but without so many BS dice rolls that make even the best strategy and greatest skill (and the time you take to use them) absolutely pointless?

I rather play a game based on skill, rather than how hard a random number generator can screw you.

Taking the random into consideration is a part of a good strategy as well.

"Random" my ass. Instead of just counting luck as a percentage, they should keep track of how many time you win/lost when the stack is equal, stack in your favor, or stacked against you. Keep track of attack and defense separately. Or perhaps have the luck statistics weighted, with greater weight given to rolls of even stacks, and less weight on rolls where the stacks are uneven. The more uneven the stacks, the less weight the result is given in tabulating luck.

The times I seem to have any luck at all, I'm either in a game with total newbies, or lose because as soon as everyone has 8 dice, I consistently lose rolls when both defending, and enemies consistantly win rolls when attacking.

Also, maybe make rooms avaiable based on score.

Maybe a limit on the number of moves in the 1st round. I'm tired of being raped and seeing people completely raped before their turn even starts. Nothing like playing a strategy game where you die before you make the first move. If people wanted to have their time ABSOLUTLY and COMPLETELY wasted, they would. If we wanted no-win scenario after no-win scenario, we'd sign up for military service and vote Republican.

Oh yea, and post preview for forums. :-p

Anyway, if people wanted their time and efforts so completely wasted, they're read the latest celeb news about Brittney and Brokeback Mortum.

Oh yea, speaking of joining the military and voting Republican, that's about the only way you could simulate the luck on here in real life.

I never thought this was possible, but I think you're actually giving Farkers a worse name.

I didn't read anything but the "Brokeback morutm". People, respect the fucking dead. Yeah so what it's just heath ledger. He's fucking dead. HE DIED. Just ranting a little... Now finished.

So what's this about?

Fark you might wanna try a more simplified version of kdice that your skills might be able to process... it's called heads or tails.

but beware it is about as dificult to master as kdice but luck is a bit less of a factor for your strategy.

since you had so much bad luck with this terrible kdice game full of bugs (losing 7v5, even 6v2, people not being able to sit and all...) I will give you a few startes for this new game i was talking about.

The key is if it was like 4 times heads in a row, make sure you bet tails next time because the odds for having 5 times heads in a row are like a gazzillion to 1.

If you really became a heads or tails jedi master, I might introduce you to an even more challenging quest: it's called rock, paper, scissors but more on that when you become a top25 heads/tails master

Try it, if you don't like it, come back here and complain some more. I have other games available for free behing my sleeves.

PS: you need to undress the queen in level 3 to get 1 level up, not like that, that's why you are stuck at 1st base Mario!

Hey, don't ridicule rock, paper and scissors! That's actually a great strategy game and I'm the best at it. :P

Danny, I fully agree withyou, that's why I merely suggested to Fark to start with heads/tails. The difficult choices and the overwhelming interactions with your opponent during a true rock/paper/scossors battle are far too advanced for a beginning strategy-gamer.

the first part of this is wrong. it's correct that odds of 5 times in a row at less than 1 or 2 or 3, etc. however after 4 heads in a row, the odds of the next being heads are 50/50 not a gazzillion to 1.

I might be wrong but I think jurgen was only joking biteme.

By the way: the rules of mathematics are not true in the world of Kdice (if you lose 4 times an 8vs8 try a 7vs8, you will be surprised ;-)
