at 8:43 AM, Friday January 25, 2008 EST well if we play 25k tables 10k players can't sit in and complain they get screwed by top 25k players at the 10k tables... so in the end it is a win win situation for all of us no?

I mentioned nothing of an elite, if thats how you perceive those with over 10k thats not my fault. I didnt make this post to be attacked by you. I am bringing to the public forum what others said. That people who play the highest level available are ready to move on to higher stakes. Right now the top 50 players (total guess btw) are over 25k. |

then i think, God, that must have sucked to be vohaul on the 18th. so i change my mind, i vote for higher-stakes tables as well. 25k. SORRY I WILL PWN YOU ALL. |

at 9:20 AM, Friday January 25, 2008 EST kdicefreak, I am sorry but depending on what part of the month we are in, there is always complaints about so called elite players.
beginning of the month it's al about obviously more skilled people knowing each other from the previous months killing noobs together middle of the month it's about a few higher ranked players still playing the lower level tables end of the month it's all the discussions about the unfairness of the top table level. In all 3 cases, losing because you get killed by players that play better sounds reasonably fair (don't read between the lines that i think pga is fair or not cheating or anything, plz there are other threads to complain about that if you feel the urge). Please just accept the fact that some players want to feel the excitement to play for bigger stakes then you. if you play a poker game with friends in real life and have say $400 you can offord to lose, you don't all go playing with $100 antes. You play for fun with $5 bets. Others who are clearly better than you can make a living out of it by playing poker tournaments. I don't think you would go demonstrating at the tournament entrance and demand that you should be allowed to enter the tournament too with a $100 buy-in so you would force the top poker players to play with $1 antes and only have like a $250 1st prize no? So let top 50 players (or better put let Ryan) decide if they have a 25k table to play at or not. If I can get the points I might try it, if I am not good enough I won't sit in and won't complain but simply watch, learn and enjoy! |

at 9:25 AM, Friday January 25, 2008 EST At this rate of inflation there will be a need for a 250.000 table by the end of this year
Leaderboard will look like that of Gpoker :-) |

at 9:32 AM, Friday January 25, 2008 EST Ooooh another possible fun side-effect of 25k tables! The race would be open again and wouldn't you hate to be Montecarlo at the 31st of January with like 200k but 3 other players at 250k ;-)
So i hereby vote for 2 very important things that might affect kdice rankings: - 25k tables starting from tomorrow - men with pregnant wifes should spend more time with their wifes instead of sitting behind their computers and winning at kdice |

at 9:44 AM, Friday January 25, 2008 EST Pffff, I should play more instead of all these posts but we could also install a point system where points are determined by the sum of the points of the all players that sit in.
Bit like poker too where the player with most cash can decide to up the stakes by raising the pot every game to put pressure on the players with fewer points. If high level players sit in, stakes get automatically higher so there automatically is an inflation of points to be gained towards the end of the month. So more to gain and more to lose for those that want to challenge the players with more points. Obviously, there still should be a limit to sit in at tables because I don't want a guy with 500 points to sit at my 400k sum table and try every stupid move possible because he has nothing to lose. |
