The impact of the new scoring change - last 16 days meant nothing, and the gains today prove it.

Let the numbers back me up - this month I was the top 1 day leader with around 9800 points in 8 hours of play. Linch, the current leader, was 2nd with over 7500 after hours of play 2 days ago to retake the lead.
Today, 5 players have jumped at least 6000 points in the standings - with every other top 25 player averaging a 3000 point jump today. You have doubled the points and penalties of the top tables without any adjustment or warning. This is not fair to any top 25 player, especially myself, Linch, and Fish28 - who have held the lead 15 days of the month between us. I would please ask for support in this thread to return the system back to the previous settings for the rest of the month. |

Notice would be nice of ANY scoring implements. btw, it's sorta like my stupid 8th grade awards shit several years ago, where u had to brown nose the teacher to get some dumb trophy pretty much. Fuckin' 7 nominations and no awards. |

I personally held #1 for almost 15 days of the month, so unless January has like 50 days, then what you say isnt possible. But you are right, the games from the beginning of the month really arent worth much. I won 4975 points in one game at the 10k table today. Once again the monthly standings will favor the people who selectively sit, and do well in a couple dozen or so important "fixed" games. The monthly standings will not reward someone who plays all the time (someone who sits with anyone, including lots of people who dont always give them favorable treatment). Where is riser? Surprised he doesnt show up and score 150,000pts by playing 30 fixed games. While Vohaul trudges away against friend and foe, only to fall short in the standings. On the other hand, the new scoring means ANY cheater still has a chance to catapult in the standings, not just the cheaters who cheated well all month! |

at 8:23 PM, Saturday January 19, 2008 EST New system didn't make selective sitting and cheating more valuable. Just 1st half of the month became less important for the final standing and it's obviously not good to players who played much at the beginning.

The change is unfair and shows total disreguard for the players of this game. I logged on last night to see that I had dropped 9 places in 4 hours. I expect to drop, but not so drastically. Two days of light play and I would be completely taken out of the race. Vohaul -- I would disagree with your statement that this is unfair to especially Linch, Fish and you. We're all in the same boat. |
