at 5:51 PM, Thursday January 17, 2008 EST IT affected the 2.5k and 10k tables only. Much better this way making them more of a high risk high reward. There are going to be a silly stupid ammount of points this month, so it really won't change the rank you would have got much anyway I bet.

at 7:25 PM, Thursday January 17, 2008 EST It's not a scoring system update.... it's just changing some of the top tables since they weren't high enough.

PGE PGA wrote
at 4:00 AM, Friday January 18, 2008 EST Ryan i see a potential big drawback with the new higher scores.
Lately a lot of players above 4/5k risked playing at 2,5k table because the risk/gain was acceptable, even in the presence of elite pga. More 2,5k tables were playing and you could see certain top pga players struggling in the ranks. Having more people play there makes it more difficult for them to control that upper level. In fact, yesterday, I heard them complain there were more people above 5k playing at the 2,5k tables so I think you were gaining ground to control the upper level OTF. I hope the higher points now will not affect this development. Ma advice to completely get rid of this top level pga cheating is: * limit table levels to 0, 500 and 2,5k with typical point/win around 100/250/1k. * install max point level of 5k to play on 500 tables * all this to have enough players at the 2,5k tables. * Now have people sit in in a pool of N*7 players before say 3 games start at once. Result: any PGA is dead (unless they can form groups of more then 10 players) * Leave the normal sitting procedures for 0 tables so people can play with friends if they chose to but not on the top level table please! I love playing for fun and with friends too but it is another aspect of the kdice fun and in my opninion it should not be allowed to influence top25 rankings. |
