Ryan, will this month's points be somehow normalized? Its conceivable that once the higher tables show up that someone could, in just this month, get more than the lifetime points of the leader.

I did ask the question re normalizing to Ryan when he was watching a game and the answer he gave was "maybe."

I think the total population of points will increase as there are more members playing more games on the net positive tables, therefore feeding more points to higher tables with even higher net points, generating more points, etc.

As the membership increases and games played increases, the monthly points population will increase. In 2 years it might take 1,000,000pts to win a month.

It just encourages you to play more each month to maintain your status.

Just like when the football season moved to 16 games and 1000 yard rushers are now commonplace, so are the old points records diminished with time.

It is inevitable, play more win more and you can maintain your status.

The increased level of points has very little to do with the small increase in players this month, and much more to do with the fact that it is no longer a net-zero game anymore.

Increasing the number of necessary games is well and good, but making any single month worth all the previous ones seems a bit over the top, no?

I'm not even sure how I got third. Who knows - I might randomly end up in first after this one ;)
