starting position is more eratic than before.........it's sometimes unfair

how can someone who get the 6th trun with 4 separate territories and 3 dice each compete with someone with someone with 3 connecting territories with two 4 dice ones? something's wrong here. the strange shape of the map doesn't help in this situation if you have your 4 separate territories in the 4 corners.

at 2:17 PM, Sunday January 6, 2008 EST absolutely, starting positions have always been erratic, but it seems that either the map size variations or a change in the starting position formula with the new code has made things worse. If asked to name the top two finishers based on the pre-move starting positions I wager I could do so 80%+ of the time with this new update.
