(With the ideas function down...)
What about labels on each territory? Give them short, distinct names, applied randomly each game start. Allows for discussion of tactics in game chat, where now it can only be done vaguely. |

where would the names go? if they were on the table like the kdice logo in the middle they would have to be short names... maybe just one or two letters or numbers. |

at 11:30 PM, Monday December 4, 2006 EST Precisely, Ryan. Though it might be easier to build a set of 40-50 easily distinguishable names if you allow up to three characters. Toggleable names would make it a non-issue for folks who don't care.

at 6:28 AM, Tuesday December 5, 2006 EST It'd often be a huge pain trying to scan for a specific name. What if instead of names, you could identify a territory by clicking on it? Like a little flag, or some other kind of marker, color coded to your country's color. There'd be at most 7 of them, so it really wouldn't distract or get in the way, and people could see which state you are talking about easily. Marker placement could be done when it's not your turn.

at 4:06 PM, Tuesday December 5, 2006 EST I just thought of a fairly easy way of doing this; have a toggle switch for a grid pattern to show up on screen. Make it so the grid is over the dice and all that so you can see which territory you're talking about then turn the grid off and keep going with what ever you're doing.
