A wise person once told me that if you can't act like yourself when you're anonymous, then you don't yet know who you are.

By extension, and much less nirvana-like: If you don't want to be an ass in real life, then don't be an ass anonymously ... it'll catch up to you by either being exposed in real life, or your assness anonymous attitude will leach into your real life attitude.
