In essence the number by the flag is if you resign and hence finish last, so it refers to your score should you be last, which is not necessarily your current score. As the situation on the map changes regarding the position of other players and the number of territories you and they own, dominance seems to have an effect and as someone gets defeated, the balance of points can shift. There appears to be some redistribution when people get knocked out that I haven't quite worked out yet. I'm wondering if it's to do with neutral territories appearing, and dominance is divided up across all non-neutral territories only. |
