I will not really complain (it probably still sounds like a complaint but try to ignore that) but:
I think I have pretty good averages with my postions in games: 21% 1st 19% 2nd 19% 3rd 12% 4th 8% 5th 9% 6th 9% 7th. That is 59% in the top 3 with 157 games played. Yet that brings me to a total of 2391 points for the month. I play 200 tables most of the time (that will probably be the key here?). If i look at the top 5 nobody played more than 300 games so far now so there is not much to gain in playing twice the amount of games for me. No problem there, i am happy with my ranking and i enjoy the game so my only remark is this: if I look at the top 25 table, i don't see many people with the same avarages as me, most don't even get to 50% of top3 finishes. So point gaining is the most important aspect of the game i am not getting, winning seems to go reasonably well. So if someone feels the urge to give some good advise on "fair ways of point maximising", feel free to enlighten me.... |

at 4:10 PM, Tuesday October 23, 2007 EDT thx to allfor the replies; I am affraid i already knew the answer to my question. Looks like i will simply have to overcome my fear of losing 500 points in a single 1k game. Now that I think about it: when I first started playing the 200 tables, losing 70+ points also made my blood rush much faster then it does now so... see you all (or at least the very good players ;-) )at the 1000 tables soon!
