Was playing a game on a 10 table with the following three players once we got down to the remaining four:
da Air (red and up north) da airr (green and in the south) Taube (blue in the middle) I was yellow on the left. I had little history of conflict with any of the three, and I believe I was in 2nd place at the time, but it was pretty close. Blue in the middle was overextending himself, given his position sandwiched in between all three of us. I had been working to cut blue, when all of a sudden red focuses his attack on me from the north, and green does the same on his turn from the south. So I decide to focus on green in the south and hope that blue n' red will fight it out. Doesn't happen, all three of them gang up on me, which makes little strategic sense given the map layout. I flag and then watch as blue in the middle is allowed to scoop up my neutral spots while green and red both skip their turns, building up 32 spare dice each. Then they both flag and let blue win, despite him being sandwiched inbetween them and easy pickings given their saved dice. Both da air and da airr had 60-180 points each, while the main account Taube had around 800, and was obviously the account he was trying to cheat points on. So avoid tables with these losers. |

at 11:16 AM, Wednesday October 17, 2007 EDT The preponderance of your evidence seems to support your thesis but I question your evaluation of their strategy before you flagged. Just because it isn't yours or make sense to you doesn't mean it's not valid. I'll attack someone I've ignored early in a game for valid strategic reasons. That said, the events AFTER you flagged really tell the story.
Thanks for the heads up. |

at 11:56 PM, Wednesday October 17, 2007 EDT That's why I stuck around after I flagged to see what kind of bs they would do.
I believe two of them had German flags, and they had spoken in their gutteral tongue previously during the match, but obviously I'm a stupid American and we only understand English. :P |
