A new kid on the block has appeared in the top 25 and has the lead in the October baseball-style standings. His absolute score, on the basis of which the standings are computed, is 474.24.

There may be other players not in the top 25 with absolute scores of less than (better than) 474.24. To find your absolute score, copy the row of headings and the first (or only) row of your scores and paste them into the upper left hand corner of a blank spreadsheet. Use text format, not html. If all else fails, use Control C to copy and Control V to paste and select destination formatting. Then paste the following formula into Cell M2 at the right of your scores:

=0.5*(1000-E2)+E2*(G2+2*H2+3*I2+4*J2+5*K2+6*L2)/(6*SUM(F2:L2))

If this results in a score of less than 474.24, you become the new kid on the block (NKOB).

Noobs begin with an absoute score of 500. By the end of the month, the absolute score will probably be down to 430.
