Max points?

as we know points are created at the 0 and 10 tables... and filter up..

so at the 200 tables.. no points are created.
but the emergence of players from 0 and 10 tables help feed players.

but as we get higher to 1000 and 5000 tables.. the filter of points from lower players will get less and less....

as the skill level and chance [law of averages] at higher tables is exposed... does anyone think there will be a limit to the max number of points you can obtain?

discuss?

please correct my thinking if im completely off.

If points are only created at 0 and 10 tables, then yes, there is a limit.

The more players at lower levels, the more points enter the system which can potentially be earned by higher players.

No limit since every time a player goes under 0 points are added to the system. Complicated? Well if you take a loan and you don't have to pay it back, you earned money. Same goes for points here.

A better player got these points and loses them on a higher leveled table. As we speak of skill at playing kdice the better player will milk the less skilled ones.

You are right with your assumption that the filter decreases.

Assume there is a player that is better in earning points than every one else, that players points are only limited by the number of games he/she can play during one month.

I am not quite sure whether the sum of points for all players is 0.

I'll respectfully disagree with you Zorrilla, but only ever so slightly.

If there is a point of creation for points (points out of nothing) as there is at the 0-10 tables, then there is no limit as more points can always be created.

I believe what you will see is a severe slowing of point accumulation at the higher tables, but theoretically, given enough time (key phrase there!) there should be no mathematical limit.

With respect to the key phrase above, since we are limited to a month of play at a time, then it would not be inaccurate to say there is a limit. But you could never put a number value on that limit. The limit would be determined by how many games were played at the lower tables, etc.

An analogy would be trying to build a sand pyramid by shoveling the sand from the bottom to the top of the pyramid. At the very base there is always more sand. The height of the pyramid is simply determined by the width of the base.

In the case of this game, the amount of points by the highest player (height of the pyramid) is determined by the number of games played at the 0/10 tables (width of the base).

Algios,

The sum of all points of all players cannot be zero since we have no negtive scores.

Sum of all points must be positive.

But you're certainly correct that there is no limit.

?ilverfox: Sorry if I expressed myself not clearly. I meant the sum of points in one game. I don't really care for them.

Oh! My apologies Algios. I misunderstood.

In one game... I think there it depends on the table. At the higher table where the points are put in by the players from their score, then the sum must be zero.

But at the lower tables where the points are put in from the ether, then they necessarily must be positive.
