AWW. MISS. How is a 4 person PGA relevent to this conversation? Anyway, sure, since usually only players finishing 1,2,3 get greater than or less than 0 points, since a member of the PGA would *always* be losing points (in addition to the games where they get 5-7 from bad playing), sure its discouraged. No more or less so than ELO era though... if you have people that want to throw away what they have for someone else's sake, there is no system in the world that can stop it. That's life. |

- A simple way to look at it is the two bad start players always help the two better start players (and the good start players leave the bad start players alive). Let's say non pga bad start averages -5 and good start is +10. With the 4-way pga these numbers could average +0 and +15, so with pga you get 5 points per game and long term your opponents lose 5 points per game each average. - Bonus dom farming from knowing who won't attack who amplifies this result - The top 25 players page provides the incentive Personally when I play games I'm more likely to target my own friends: 1) It's more fun to beat your friends 2) You know they won't hold a paranoid grudge because your friends are totally mature and fun to play with Anyway, my point is instead of not attacking your friends why not just do 4+ player pga? It's the same thing. Heck why not just turn the top player kdice community into a group of people that work together to make money at pay game sites such as poker and then kill time playing kdice? |
