A "strategy" that pisses me off

I use the the term "strategy" generously here... The player with one or two stacks that waits for another stronger player to be wiped out by 1st place before flagging.
If you do this you deserve nothing less than to be put in the "ass-reaming with a pineapple" room in hell.

So I take it that you always flag whenever you are the weakest player? Somehow, I think not. So stop being a whining hypocrite.

The longer that they hold out to flag, the more points that they're going to lose in the end. They might as well just flag. Any points they'll get for flagging for a place higher they'll lose that and some in negative dom.

Not since the new "dom is 30%, position is 70%" change. I've watched many games where players with a single terr since the start waited in the game. Instead of -36/+0 points for lasting 7th they get like +50/-40 for ending 2nd.

seems like there's not much of a penalty for hanging around at the end of a game, certainly not more than the bump you get from outlasting a more deserving player.

Big penalty is at the start of the game, when your -32 before you play a round. Once your past a few rounds, the domination factor lessens quite a bit.

I'm also noticing a lot of magascores players hanging out at the 10pt tables to avoid the intial penalty. I'm seeing 10pt tables populated by 500+ point rankings. Another drawback with the latest scoring system.

So go kill the guy! What? You can't (for whatever reason)? Well then I guess he deserves the place he gets. Regardless of what kind of point gain/loss he gets for it.

P.S. DiceLord,

I'm in complete agreement with you about the end game situation and that it needs a fix. I approve of any fix that alleviates this kind of nonsense.

But for now the reality within which we live says If you can't kill the guy, then he deserves his standing.

Gotta love the players that are defending this practice...You're cowards. I'm talking about the ones that forgo their turns over and over, if that explains it better for you. My advice is: attack someone or get the F out of the game.
And yes bone-roller, i do flag when i know my game is done, it's called honorable playing. Go smoke another one you weasely burnout!

?ilverfox, I wasn't saying that I wanted it fixed somehow, I'm just putting it in the forum so maybe players will be a little more honorable and take the place in the game that they deserve. It's a cowardly tactic
