Ban The Box

I love KDice. I love strategy games period. Thing is, whenever luck is involved, certain people will try their upmost to bend things - and the easiest way to bend things here is by manipulating other players to your will.

So, in conjunction with the last two months improvements, I propose this.

Ban the chat box for one month a year. Even the playing field, give every single player here a fair crack at the title, which frankly has lost its shine.

Let's see who really has the tactics to the win outright. It won't be me. But I can assure you that it won't be anyone you've heard of either.

This would provide a fantastic opportunity to give everyone who plays and loves this game the chance to prove their steel - or simply acknowledge that they really just aren't that good at it.

Agree? Disagree? Think I'm a paranoid maniac? Let's hear it then.

1.By banning the box you're actually suggesting that the majority that plays Kdice are little lambs who get persuaded in to losses by the vicious wolves and foxes of the current top.

2.If this is not what you mean you're suggesting almost everybody up there is pga'd in some form. Which I find hard to believe, assuming that mutual respect is still allowed between old warriors. The way I see it for a pga you don't need a box at all. It will be only harder to track pga'ers and impossible to warn other players for them.

If you dont mean neither I can't see what your problem with the box could be?

Also with the current new scoringrules the strategic social aspect has changed a lot and much harder to be put to good use.

BTW: Who says these "chosen ones" hiding in the catacombs you speak of aren't all proxies of rnd anyways?

Except the last comment I meant everything I said, rnd is dead.....

Tony, I've sat and watched it dude. Don't come the big one.

October 3rd 1122â—† 1122â—† 77 16% 28% 28% 10% 3% 6% 5%
September 07 36th 917â—† 1173â—† 815 18% 17% 14% 15% 12% 11% 9%

I think those stats say it all. If you're as good a player as the dramatic climb over the last two weeks suggests, you should be embracing the idea.

You're the king, right?

10 things that the box allows me to do:

1/ It allows me to know the intentions of the rest of players
2/ It allows me to express my intentions and to obtain advantage
3/ It allows me to congratulate a player who has made a brilliant movement
4/ It allows me to transmit my friends how glad I am to see them
5/ It allows me to transmit my enemies how I am going to annihilate them as soon as I can
6/ It allows me to laugh (and much) with the trivialities of XC, Unlucky, Phoenix, Pinky, Jubi and, of course, Mikeypoo and its 1000 alts
7/ It allows me to say Kissy, Stacy, Sarah and Cleo how much I love them
8/ It allows me to see how rnd deceives to me (time and time again)
9/ It allows me to improve my level of English
10/ It allows me to have fun.

(It also allows me to show my natural humor sense and irony, but I don’t want to seem too much proud of myself)

No box = No fun.

Bru,

Don't think that will have any effect. I know players like RND play under several names(played him under three seperate names the past 2 days), and that may be the biggest flaw.

One player can have a couple screens open, playing under several names in the same game. He can sacrifice the "secondary" accounts to improve the score of the primary.

In addition, the use of instant messeging is used as well. Its the same cast, and dont tell me they finish at the top because of superior skill. Odds are odds. Most of them know them. You work for corners, you play the odds, you use calculated risks. You try and split people, it's no big mystery how to play.

Yes, alliances, truces, etc play a major role. Those who form their cliques and always work together if possible do better than those who play their own game.

If I were to make changes it would be:

1) Only one account per ip address

2) bonus points for knocking a player out of a game.
