1) Ryan, how come all the good forum threads get spiked? It seems like anythread that might be portrayed as negative gets locked so there are no new replies and then it eventually falls off the forum.
Quit worrying about that the new visitors will hate kDice because the forum contains criticism! The new visitors will recognize and appreciate the passionate opinions of the community, and actually be more likely to stay. And the regulars will feel like their voice is being heard.

2) Instead of creating more and more complex scoring mechanisms to deal with elitism, PGAs, and cheating...
EMPOWER THE COMMUNITY to deal with eltism, PGAs, and cheating.

You can do this by allowing yourself, trustworthy moderators, and the general public to enforce gameplay. Allow moderators to post permanent notes on profiles, warning other players about the behavior of certain accounts.

If you sit down and read a permanent profile note from multiple moderators that "player X seems to PGA frequently with player Y" then everyone at the table can react and stop it.

And for everyone that doesnt have time to read the profiles, you could have a rating system for each player that appears next to his name (kind of like an eBay score). This could be based on votes from anyone who wants.

If you saw that "player x" had a fairness score of 15%, as determined by the general public, then you could target him early and encourage him to start playing fair.

Empowering the community to police cheating/elitism/fairplay(through moderator notes and approval ratings) would keep you from having to create complex scoring systems designed to regulate cheating/elitism/fairplay.

Then you could go back to the December scoring system, which I thought was best.
