The total wealth of the kdice system (the amount drawn from the bank by all zero-score players when they lose) will determine when the higher-level tables will come into play. Here is a rough spreadsheet estimator of the total wealth of the system that can be calculated from data on hand.

Suppose that players are ranked from lowest to highest and their scores (for the nonzero ones) follow a quadratic distribution a x squared + b x. The slope of the function would be 2 a x + b. I will fit the left end to a slope and the right end to a score.

The following code will estimate the number for you. Copy the whole column (including the heading) and paste it into a blank spreadsheet. Use Paste Special….Text. Or, if that doesn’t work, use Ctrl+V.

The first three numbers you will put in. The number that are there are placeholders. You will overwrite them.

Find a player whose score is zero. Overwrite that player’s rank into Cell A2. Find a player whose score is 1. Overwrite that player’s rank into Cell A3. Go to the top 25 players page, find the score of the 13th player, and overwrite the score into Cell A4.

The score is a numeric field, do not include the diamond.

The spreadsheet will calculate the estimate for you; it is the bottom number of the column.
