I rarely finish behind 3rd and even then sometimes I just leave games in the middle of a round because it gets boring. This scoring does not reward come from behind wins at all. I have come to the conclusion that Domination points are not the way to go in this game. I love staying in the game and fighting, but that just sucks up all your dom while you get to first. This type of scoring only leads to flagging early and never getting to really have fun like the old days. No wonder so many people are dropping this so quick. Game - Fun + Crazy Point Obsessed Players= New Scoring Game + Good old fashioned kdice fun = Old days I'm not saying that I quit. I like to play a game or two just to see how it goes. This game has turned into something else entirely and some of you are happy with this, and that my friends, is okay. You changed kdice, you changed...for the worst. ^_^ |

I do think that dom is still important to knock out the player sitting there with one 8 dice territory, but I would think maybe halving the importance of dom would be good. I have played a couple games where I knew by the position of the board that I could get 2nd or 3rd, but it just wasn't worth it because I would have to sit in 3rd place for too long losing dom points while the guy in the middle was fighting it out with the guy on the other side. Overall, I would say that the new points make the beginning and middle game wonderfully better, but do agree with you that the dom points screw up the end game a bit. |
