If 7th loses more points than they currently do I think the player in 7th would just try to get 6th instead of 1st. My opinion is the current way encourages better gameplay.

Because people who are in first can get fucked , and flag for 7th. But they still have alot of dom. And all the other little 2 landers flag, but have a greater loss.

The biggest losers in poker aren't the players with the worst hands. It's the players who think they have winning hands but are wrong.

Yes, duh, kdice isn't poker, but it is still a good thing to reward the smart players at least as much as the luckiest ones, and that includes people who are smart enough to flag.

um, if 7th place has the lowest domination then they get the lowest points (unless playing against bad players who don't flag early enough). So what are you talking about?

Also, I think in theory 2nd can get more points than 1st via domination with the current system *shrugs*

JKD he didnt say "go back to the old system." He is pointing out flaws in the system. I for one appreciate constructive criticism. There is a tendency by some, to ridicule people that point out flaws. (not pointing at you JKD)Ryan is doing a good job of tweaking every few days. Let people complain and point out flaws. Ryan is listening so they are apparently valued. With this tweaking, perhaps a bridge between the "classic kdice" players and the new kdice players can be found. And we can finally bring together this divided community.

I for one like this system. I only discovered this site less than 2 weeks ago so I don't know how the old system works. But I assume it was only based on your position. That allows people to just hide in a corner with like 4 or so spaces an wait it out till the end. This system rewards the people that fight instead of hide. I had a few games where I received more points for being second than the first and that is due to the fact that I was always engaging in battle while the guy who got first was sitting in a corner and watching the others fight. So if you get an unlucky start, quit right away and that way you will lose minimum points as compared to if you decide to sit on 2 or something till the end.
