Ninja protection

Why do I have the feeling that the ninja protection doesn't work anymore? Most of the times I get more points if I actually do move and then flag than if I flag at the start of my turn. That's rather counter productive. It was even more obvious in my last game where I had +4 before my turn (and it wasn't the too-slow-to-update-bug) and +12 as soon as I moved.

Because when you paid the ante you had high dom and earned more points staying in.

That's not good. I mean the main reason why the dom points are added on your next turn and why you pay the ante as soon as you move is to prevent ninjas. Now we have a situation where players are encouraged to play the ninja style? Sounds broken.

What Big Jumblies is trying to explain to you is you gain as much points hitting next turn THEN flag than doing the Ninja then flag when your domination is good enough.

Ninja is useless but people still thinks it useful because they see points go up after their turn when it would have gone up anyway.

So all the ninjas are doing is fucking any strategy others might have at the end for nothing, and sometimes it would have been best for them to flag BEFORE their turn.

Fuck ninjas.

I don't know if it's already like this, but you should get your dom points when it becomes your turn and take away your ante when you make your first attack. That way you would maximize your score sometimes by surrendering before your turn and sometimes by surrendering after your turn starts but before you do anything.

The latest change encourages ninjas even more. Since then I have yet to see a game where *not* moving before flagging would be benefical!

Exactly, currently when I intend to flag, I just wait for my turn and randomly attack before flagging because I lose less points that way.
