Take a look again.

In boards where there are more than 28 territories, 1st/2nd/etc start with 5/14.

That's 2.8 per territory.

The middle folk start with 4/13.

That's 3.25 per territory.

The end start with 4/14.

That's 3.5 per territory.

Watch it, next few games you play. It's real.

thanks kdw, i could see that the last 2 don't get extra dice.
so that would mean anybody posting in other threads that last gets an extra die is misinforming the puplic.

I'll just hope you misunderstood...

Usually if you start with 4 lands you get 13 dice. But if you go 6th or 7th you get 1 extra die (14 total). On a 34 land map the guy in 6th would have 15 dice to start.

Dice per territory is important. Guess what happens if you go first with 17 lands with 1 die each against 6 players who have 16 dice and 2 territories each.

To offset a 7th place start, I demand 88 extra dice.

you really should watch the starting dice at the beginning of a round.
kdw was spot on - 1st starts with the same number of dice as last, but they are spread out over more territories.

Last (and 6th) get the most dice is false. Last gets the most dice per territory is true. The exact reason why last gets the most dice per territory is because *last gets an extra die*

You can insist it be reworded or always called a bonus die but that's just making life hard for yourself
