2 changes needed: allow surrender at onset, last player at onset gets more armies

3 changes need to take place
1. allow immediate surrender. if you initial draw completely sucks, why should you be forced to keep antying up until the flag comes on screen so you can bail? poker does not work this way. you can fold right away. sometimes you get a band hand. why should you be forced to play it? 2. the people who go at the end of the first round are often terribly penalized by losing half or more of their dice by the players who went before them. this is stupid. give the later ones more armies. or somehow compensate, such as giving them better geography. 3. allow 1 score per day to be erased if we chose to have it erased. this would take care of a worthless score due to lag. thats it ;p |

at 7:15 PM, Monday September 10, 2007 EDT 1. In poker, you can also raise the amount of money at risk very fast. In kdice, you cannot. The only way first place can get many points is by the last place player putting in their points.
2. The sixth and seventh place starters already have and extra +1 die compared to everyone else. More extra dice would give them a larger advantage. First and second starters have less dice and more territories. So last place is more dense, and first place is lighter. How do you plan on giving players better geography? It seems too hard. 3. Lag affects everyone, suck it up. |

at 8:17 PM, Monday September 10, 2007 EDT 1. you can bail in poker right off the bat. better logic there.
2.perhaps is adequate 3. lag does not affect everyone equally. this is false. if the pathway you are taking to the host server is more narrow, you will suffer more greatly. an option to withdraw a game should be put to vote and lets see how many people favor it. in fact, put all 3 of my points to vote, and lets see what happens. |

at 8:19 PM, Monday September 10, 2007 EDT a ballot should be cast for all community members to vote on changes to the system. if you have been playing for 1 month at the end of elo, you get a vote.
have the lead behind the program tally all requests and decide which are pertinent or practical, and then have a vote. |

at 9:38 PM, Monday September 10, 2007 EDT Kdice is not a democrazy ... it is a little island run by a dictator (programming genius).
Since when do you get to call for a ballot vote? P.s. - I think all your ideas are garbage so "need to take place" should read ... "I think that the following would make me happy" |

at 2:59 AM, Tuesday September 11, 2007 EDT lets see what the community thinks about the ideas....the system they moved to was modeled after poker, hence the references to poker....and they ditched elo due to community issues, so why would they not be interested in hearing what the community has to say?
if they didn't care, there wouldn't be forums, genius |
