Haven't posted on the forums before, but this NEEDS to be posted. It was a chat by me and another player, when we were the only men standing on board. I had like 4 lands and he had the rest of the table. XYZ is a fictional name because I don't want to say who exactly he is. Here we are:

SebKom: If only I knew how XYZ: just by playing XYZ: every round that goes on means i gain a point XYZ: or so SebKom: Aha XYZ: see? XYZ: just by sitting here and playing SebKom: lol XYZ: my points go up and yours go down SebKom: Great XYZ: if you like, i could sign in with another id XYZ: and return the favour SebKom: Nah SebKom: What about 40 points? XYZ: could we say 50, so i could plau on the 50pt tables? XYZ: oops, too late XYZ: thank you While I know it is still early and things have to settle, I strongly believe that this system just don't work for kDice. ELO wasn't the best way to calculate points, totally agree on that, but c'mon, we can surely come up with better ideas than this one... |

1. People that are watching will hate people who do this. 2. You can't give more than 15 points, so it's not that fast. 3. On the higher tables you can't play without points, so the points don't get into the system for free there. But basically it boils down to: don't do it, and tell the person that does that he's an ass. Also, play on the higher tables. I played a few on the >100 table, and I liked those games far better than those filled with people without a clue. |
