new scoring has a great disadvantage

i have not even played 10 games so far and seen something that is very boring and should not be encouraged by gaining points.
being first or having good domination you gain points each round the game continues. now if there are players who do not flag forever (and that is what has happened) you easily make a lot of points having a pga or using proxies. lets just all use secondary accounts and help out each other. my secondary helps you gain lots of points in a 300 round game and yours helps me. i dont like that system and think there should be no gain after round 20 for example in order to prevent that - what do you think? i mean there is no elo anymore, because people started caring too much about their score and did not just play the game anymore and now this... |

at 6:28 PM, Saturday September 1, 2007 EDT That's a ridiculous and completely unhelpful answer, FF. The test server was not well-publicized and even for those of us who played, there was no formal mechanism for feedback or discussion.
Also, because it was a test server, and the scores weren't being kept, no one was trying to figure out how to game the system. Also, the players who were on the test server were the good, honest kdice players interested in making the game and community better, not the pre-trucers, people willing to make two accounts one of which is a sacrifice account or whatever. Now that the game has been released, people are trying, and succeeding, in finding ways to game the system. That's not to belittle Ryan and Sinth's work at all, but clearly this game has been a work in progress from the beginning, and now the smart heads need to try and figure out a way to block the cheaters again. |

by the way - what do you think this forum and the ideas-section are for, if it really was too late for a feedback or discussion? |
