PGA / Multi-Player 'Tag' System

Nope, it's not a tea bag from Blighty - it's an idea.

I've already proposed this in the ideas section, but wanted to get some feedback from the general masses also.

I probably wont need to remind you that there is a small percentage of players in this community that resort to PGA, or Pre-Game Alliances.

This basically means that a number of players (normally two, but groups of four do lurk) make an agreement amongst themselves prior to a game, all sit at a table and are effectively truced, ensuring (most of the time) that they finish in the top four, and frequently 1st and 2nd.

If you are playing this game as it was intended to be played, i.e alone, this practice is ruining the game for YOU.

There is also a small minority of players who Multi-Play. This practice involves creating a number of accounts, signing into KDice with all of them at the same time and placing all accounts at the same table.

This not only ensures a higher position, it also means that the player using this method can pretty much decide which of his accounts wins by using the other accounts to defend it.

Again, if you are a straight player, this ruins the game for YOU.

The administrators of this site are patently aware of the problem, but seem at a loose end as to what to do about it - so I would like to propose this idea.

Each player is recognised at the table by name, country, avatar and score. Would it not be possible to add a tag, similar to the country flag of the player, alongside the other information of a player who is known to either PGA or Multi-Play.

The most common tag at other sites tends to be the red triangle with an exclamation mark in it. This would solve several problems:

1. Players would be aware that they are playing against a known PGA or Multi-Player.

2. Players would be able to see if more than one known PGA or Multi-Player is sat at the table at the same time. This would be a strong indicator of any under-handed activity.

3. Players 'tagged' with this label would most likely cease using the account. While this doesn't prevent them creating a new one, it may persuade them to desist from doing it again for fear of being caught out again.

Anyhow, there it is. Leave your feedback here. If there is enough interest in this idea, Ryan will pick up on it.
