Hi, today i've started with rating 1818.
Played single party at 1600 table, finished 3rd, got -9. I still had rating left 1809, that this was enough for 1800 table. But i saw no players collectin on 1800 tables so i decided to play once more on 1600 table. Again - finished 3rd, got -5. And you think i have now 1804 rating left? Wrong, I have 1788 now, so i wonder where did I lost (1804-1788=16) 16 rating points? I didnt played on the other tables, i just played two games this evening which I mentioned above. P.S. This is the second time when I can point exact numbers. I had few similar loses before, but at that time I didn't followed exact numbers. |

Usually, nobody notices. But you have proved that you actually look carefully at the numbers. So he might not do it again.
Nah, just kidding, i messed with your account ;-) And just as a general advice: Don't EVER play at lower tables unless you have to - if you care for your points ... |

Dasl - many players make mistake and leave theirselves on a table when they switch to another. This is usually what happens. You sit at an 1800 table, don't see anyone else join, decide to go to another table and forget to "Leave Seat". The 1800 table fills up, they play, you are "Away", you go out 7th or 6th and lose points. This is typically the case. Listen to Sypgo's advice - never play on a lower ranked table. In some cases you could get 1st and still lose points. Create another account that you use for when there are no 1800 players to get a game going. Then you can switch to your alt account and play a game at a rank where players are in. |

But I never thought that if you are changing table without leave-seat before game was started your away player continues waiting game start. Thank you for clearing things out. Actually this could be noted in the game rules/help. And also I think if that someone is changing table before game start, server could do automatic leave-seat for that player. |

at 9:16 AM, Friday August 24, 2007 EDT Dasl - Glad I could help clear it up. I agree that it should be noted in the player's manual, I think as a warning. I don't agree that it should automatically clear for you before game start though. The perfect example is when you are trying to get people to come to a new table that needs players. You sit on the table and then "Change Table" to another to try and get the watchers or newly destroyed to come to your waiting table. Would really suck to come back and find that there were no more seats for you.
Just have to keep an eye on it. |
