How does a guy with this line:

June 601 4% 5% 6% 15% 25% 26% 15%

get a rating of over 1800 with only 15% of games in the top 3? Is the playing 601 games what's getting him points?

Four percent of 600 games is 24 games. If the guy had a recent runup, it could be possible. With an average of 30 points for a win, he would need only 10 wins for a runup of 300, or 6 wins and 6 seconds, or 5 wins, 5 seconds, and 5 thirds. That is possible, and probably likely, in a span of 600 games.

The pts system is weighted to your score, so playing games against higher scored opponents would give you higher pts when winning and less penalty points when losing.

You can lose horribly initially, and be around 1300. But winning 1st or 2nd for three or four games would pull you back up to 1500 in no time.

apparently you are not familiar with the rating system here.....

who cares about the score as long as you have fun playing.
