at 3:06 AM, Wednesday June 20, 2007 EDT Flagging obviously means something different to each of us. However, there is only one "official" rule tied to it. That rule states if all the players not currently in first flag, then the game is over. That's it. Everything else is made up.

at 6:02 AM, Wednesday June 20, 2007 EDT There is a common ethic rule though. I will write down the way i play it:
1: If someone is flagging, means he will not attack anymore. flagging is only allowed when a) the player has 3 or less fully stacked countries b) the flag is used to finish the game 2: Any other player should not attack this player anymore, as long as there is a full stack in the country or it is the players last country. (Example, if the flagging player has 4 countries left, two of which are fully stacked, the other two can be taken) 3: If the flagging player gets attacked, he is allowed to counter that one player without canceling his flagging status 4: Abuse of the rules above result in loss of flagging status (even though the flag has been set). Typical abuses: a) Blocking someone b) "flagging to a special player" and going on to attack others (this is a truce and not a flagging status) just my 2 coppers |

at 8:38 AM, Wednesday June 20, 2007 EDT flagging also means you are willing to take that position in the game if it were to end. You flag in 6th place, you should finish in 6th place. SO at that point people can take you out. I am tired of people flagging when obviously they should be 6th or 7th, but no one takes them, and they finish in 3rd or even 2nd.

at 12:26 PM, Wednesday June 20, 2007 EDT Flagging has no special rules. I doesn't mean anything except you are ready for the game to end. Play as if the flag weren't there. When I flag, I can also play as if the flag weren't there. Its only a mechanical device to speed the ending of the game
