The Kdice revolution

making kdice a wuss free enviroment.

Due to numerous occasions of players who truce with the strongest, and players who flag very early in the game….
kdice had lost a big component of what makes it a fun game.
From a strategy and politically exciting game, it became a scramble for the best beginning (that is luck) and that’s about it.

what we propose:

1) Flagging does not give immunity! people who have flagged have given up the game and should be taken out first if convenient and possible.

2) Trucing with the strongest is forbidden

3) You should not flag just to have the strongest attack someone else and then go on 2nd or 3rd or whatever if u have a chance for first by joining forces.

anybody breaking these rules will be blacklisted, tracked down and mugged.

blacklisted:

1) people from the revolution must kamikaze blacklisted people and make sure they lose rating points.

2) people from the revolution are entitled to blacklist people according to the revolution rules.

3) people from the revolution will get and send blacklisted names via internet interaction and any other possible means. (no open list or giving blacklist information for non revolutionists)

What gives you the right to ruin the game ("make sure they lose rating points") for those players whose tactics you don't like?

Your rules are interesting, but you can't expect everyone to play kdice the way you think it ought to be played.

Trucing with first place is pretty pathetic, but with regard to everything else, you're going to have some trouble organising people to go directly against the common understanding of flags.

y? i think it is pretty logical that if someone surrenders, they shouldnt be kept alive....get them outta the game - thats what the flag is for

an idea against 1-2-truces. If you do it, it´s perhaps even effective like the counter-alliances!

I brought it up earlier, here it is:

But what´s the case, if 2nd ask the 1st player for a truce just in this moment when all are stacked up? The game is done in this moment. you can´t do anything - especial if you´re the 3rd player and the rest is quite small and weak - you can´t do anything!!?!??

But yes - you can! Take care, that this player, who asked for such a lame truce, won´t be better then 2nd!! That´s fun and may avoid such situations in other games - like this "counter-trucing" against truces in to early phases of a game...

Discoveria is right. In fact, you're trying to tell us how we SHOULD play kdice.

Primarily, I'm not going to join you, since I have developed basic ideals over how to play, since I started last December:

1. Flagging gives me a partial immunity, since I don't do it to be killed, I do it to, for example, get second if my current position is second. If I keep attacking, I am in jeopardy of losing second, so therefore, I flag.

2. I don't like the feeling of trucing with the strongest, but, i am developing the mindset to truce when I am, because I hate games where I get the lead, and I get smushed down into fourth.

3. I have no idea what you mean by this, but if it is what I think, I do already fight it out if I am in a reasonable position.

The most heinous of these is the request to "blacklist" these players. DON'T FUCK WITH THE WAY WE PLAY. That's what you want to do. You think that's alright, don't you?

It's not. Making kdice a wuss free environment is not about ruining the game for others. Many people expect to be untouched when flagged, and some may truce with first or when they are first to ensure a good game for them.

Just to let you know, I don't think this is worth it. What is reasonable to ask is that people play more aggressively/assertively. That's an ideal way to play.

Another question I ask: Who was the idiot to think the flag meant kill? That's not why it's there. Ever realize the flag only functions when everyone else does? It's not completely useless alone either, because geez, you need a flame to start a fire, and one flag can lead to to others. There's an easier way to tell if someone REALLY wants to be killed: if they have a little brown sign next to their avatar that says "away" and, if you see in the chat bow "(name here) has left".

It's that simple. That means they could give a shit what position they came in. When you flag, you say, "I'm done, but I want everyone else to be done too". Kinda pushy, but, when I first understood when flags worked, I even thought it was rare, for EVERYONE to agree they want the game done.

Sure, you want a wuss free game, but a kdice game is too sensitive nowadays to just push around everyone (so to speak) with a revolution. If there becomes a heavy following of this, I threaten that I will leave, until this stuff blows over. Not that I really am integral tot he game, but I play to win, and haven't come to my nirvana whee I will play for fun again.

Just warning you: This "revolution" is going to piss of some people (that may or may not be an understatement).

I don't believe mosesgames is telling other people how to play (and we shouldn't take his post too serious), i think the common moral is that most players who oppose the way of playing moses proposes tell other players to play in their way. They are the ones who are moaning about being attacked while flagged, refuse to fight when there is plenty of room to fight, etcetera, and they are the ones who mouth of other players who do not want to play the way the way they feel its right.
