Kdice IS something special -
- it is a really great entertainment; - gives a simple measure of your achievements (just two numbers - "elo" and "rank") - allows to build relationships with other players (of course you dont know MUCH about them, but anyway - they may become quite important for you) - gives constant challenges - to be able to play at a higher table, to move ahead in elo, in rank, to get a trophy, to win a monthly competition, to get to top 25, to be in the news among 5 highest elo's... All of this may make this game pretty addictive... How to survive it? Some of us stopped playing alltogether, sometimes after almost 1000 games in a month. Some go with their elo deep deep down in order to move up from the bottom... The question is - HOW TO STAY HEALTHY IN KDICE FOR A LONGER TIME? What attitude should one have for this? What goals may one set? How to approach this kdice monster ;)? DO YOU HAVE ANY ANSWERS? |

at 8:30 AM, Tuesday May 29, 2007 EDT start playing for fun. too many people just care about moving up in the standings and i'm sick of it. People have easy firsts and they don't take it because they want the safe second.

Be open about it. Let others know how much you play. They may be the best judges about whether kdice is getting _too_ addictive for you. |

at 9:55 PM, Tuesday May 29, 2007 EDT Well, I'm sure I've played it too much, and addictively. Integral, spare me. I play for rank, most of the time, cuz I get my fun out of that. It's the way I take it. As long as you don't try to tell me to lighten up cuz you see it a different way.

Kdice is one of those times. I (try to) never play the same game twice. "The more you mix it, the fresher it gets." You can quote me on that. |

By the way - I think each of us does pay at least A LITTLE attention to his/her rank... |
